Esta ilustración se trata de una propuesta para el cartel del IX episodio de la saga de Star Wars: El ascenso de Skywalker. He elegido este capítulo porque es el más reciente y con el cual se concluye la tercera trilogía. Además, causó bastante revuelo en sus fans.
This illustration is a proposal for the poster of the IX episode of the Star Wars saga: The Rise of Skywalker. I have chosen this chapter because it is the most recent and with which the third trilogy concludes. Moreover, it caused quite a stir in its fans.

En cuanto a los elementos principales, he seleccionado a los droides BB-8 y R2-D2 porque considero que juegan un papel muy importante dentro las últimas películas, aunque no sean vistos como personajes principales; por lo que con este cartel me gustaría darles una mayor visibilidad. En el fondo he querido representar la arena donde se conocieron BB-8 y Rey, las explosiones que aparecen a lo largo de toda la película, y la galaxia donde se desarrolla toda la saga. De esta forma, he querido conectar el principio de la trilogía con su fin.
As for the main elements, I have selected the droids BB-8 and R2-D2 because I consider that they play a very important role within the latest films, even thought they are not seen as main characters by many people; so, with this poster I would like to give them greater visibility. In the background I wanted to represent the sand where BB-8 and Rey met, the explosions that appear throughout the film, and the galaxy where the whole saga develops. In this way, I wanted to connect the beginning of the trilogy with its end.

Respecto a los colores, he combinado colores fríos y cálidos, aunque en conjunto se trata de un poster bastante oscuro. He ilustrado a los droides tal y como aparecen en la película, cuyos colores pienso que se complementan bastante bien. Para el fondo he querido utilizar las mismas tonalidades, pero con menos brillo para quitarle protagonismo: el marrón representa la arena, el anaranjado las explosiones, y el azul oscuro la galaxia.
Regarding the colors, I have combined cold and warm colors, although overall it is a pretty dark poster. I have illustrated the droids exactly as they appear in the film, whose colors I think complement each other quite well. For the background I wanted to use the same shades, but with less brightness to take the spotlight away: the brown represents the sand, the orange the explosions, and the dark blue the galaxy.

Aquí se puede ser el proceso que he seguido para elaborar el cartel. Primero he buscado inspiración en todo tipo de plataformas: Google, Pinterest, Instagram... Seguidamente, he elaborado un boceto simple a lápiz en una libreta. Después, lo he digitalizado con vectores en Adobe Illustrator, y ya por último le he dado volumen en Adobe Photoshop. En la siguiente imagen podéis ver cual ha sido el resultado final.
Here you can see the process that I have followed to elaborate the poster. First I looked for inspiration on all kinds of platforms: Google, Pinterest, Instagram... Then, I drew a simple pencil sketch in a notebook. Afterwards, I digitalized it with vectors in Adobe Illustrator, and finally I put some volume on the elements in Adobe Photoshop.
